&lt;p&gt;&#192; l'occasion des recensions des deux premiers albums de To Destroy A City, on avait pu d&#233;plorer une trop grande emphase dont t&#233;moignait parfois le trio de Chicago, &#224; force d'en rajouter dans le post-rock un rien pompier, avec guitares en avant et batterie martiale. Sur ce nouvel album, Michael Marshall s'&#233;tant mis au chant, on avait des doutes sur les capacit&#233;s des &#201;tats-uniens &#224; freiner ces penchants pas toujours heureux. Rapidement, on se rend compte qu'effectivement, ils tombent en plein (&#8230;)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;C'est en 2010 que Absent Without Leave sortait l'album Faded Photographs, marqu&#233; par une multitude de collaborations (voir notre chronique). Trois ans plus tard George Mastrokostas revient sur son album en multipliant plus encore les croisements puisque ce sont 28 remixes qui nous sont ici offerts, avec aux manettes la quasi int&#233;gralit&#233; des artistes n5MD, des plus anciens comme Keef Baker (maintenant sign&#233; chez Hymen Records) aux plus r&#233;cents tels que (ghost), Crisopa, ou encore Aerosol. &lt;p&gt;La fin du premier album de To Destroy A City op&#233;rait une forme de virage par rapport au reste du premier album du trio de Chicago : apr&#232;s deux premier tiers consacr&#233;s &#224; un post-rock &#233;lectronis&#233; traditionnel de ce que n5MD peut offrir, le groupe convoquait des pulsations soutenues et r&#233;guli&#232;res pour un r&#233;sultat un peu diff&#233;rent. En bonne logique, c'est dans cette continuit&#233; que d&#233;bute Sunless, nouvel effort des &#201;tats-uniens, trois ans apr&#232;s ce premier disque : les rythmiques &#233;lectroniques (&#8230;)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A priori, se plonger dans le premier album d'une nouvelle signature n5MD, c'est la quasi-assurance de retrouver un post-rock &#233;lectronis&#233; enlev&#233;, voire flamboyant, tellement le label d'Oakland s'en est fait une sp&#233;cialit&#233;. Au moment donc o&#249; d&#233;bute l'&#233;coute du premier long-format de To Destroy A City, on est gu&#232;re surpris d'effectivement retrouver des lignes de guitares ou de piano entra&#238;nantes pos&#233;es sur des nappes de synth&#233; et des rythmiques parfois programm&#233;es, parfois &#233;manant d'une (&#8230;)&lt;/p&gt;
